Xbox 360, Lagging in Sales, Will Cost Less

According to some blog on nytimes.com, the xbox 360 base system price will drop to $199. Hmm wonder how much the used/refurb’s will sell for. Guess I might have to buy a new one, if I can get a new base system for $199, already have hard drive and games, at least then I can get a longer warranty then a used or refurb would have.

Update
Just read on amazon that the new 360′s have a three year warranty, another comment said “all 360′s have a three warranty”, I don’t think all of them do, guess I should check later, to see if my 360 from 2006 is still under warranty, I don’t think it is. But since the new ones come with a three year warranty, I’d be more willing to buy a new one for $200.

  1. David Gerard says:

Microsoft Japan is already actually paying people to take the machines, with little success. “We hope more people will be able to enjoy Xbox 360,” said marketing marketer Takashi Sensui, “and we can stop enjoying quite so many of them. We also have this fine pile of HD-DVD drives … Wait! Come back!” http://notnews.today.com/?p=63
