Wow I’m a dumbass

Thought damn small linux was faster, well not the new version. Haven’t tried the other damn small based distro. But it seemed very slow, couldn’t disable tapping easily. I did disable it, but then the mouse was acting weird. Now I installed puppy linux, and I had a thumb drive plugged in. So the only thing in menu.lst for grub, is “windows on sda1″. There is no windows on sda1. No item for linux. Since I’m to lazy to edit it, I try reinstalling it, doing an upgrade. As an upgrade doesn’t take as long. Well now when booting it I get a kernel panic. Now looking for something else to use. I’m sick of the stupidness of damn small linux, and puppy linux. I could just re install it, but I rather find something thats going to be more reliable. Making xubuntu, I don’t know.

Update
Going to try xubuntu, just for the hell of it. I remember ubuntu was stable. Oh yeah I was using the very latest damn small linux. The rc one. But only because wifi, probably wouldn’t work otherwise. Nevermind I’ll try one on this list. Looking at feather linux right now. Just going to try xubuntu, cause I don’t think any of those use xorg or xfree. Just found the cheat codes for knoppix. So I can use something other then kde, also saw a dvd version. I should of downloaded the dvd version, instead as I burned it to a dvd anyways. But that doesn’t mean i’ll use knoppix. Just see how slow it is with something else. Trying icewm.

Update
I downloaded xubuntu, but I’m not going to try it first. I’m going to try vector linux first. I’m downloading at over 1 MB from here.
That place is fast like kernel.org, where I downloaded knoppix. I remember using vector once, I think it was fast. I can’t remember, don’t know where the cd is either. To bad there’s no dvd version, of the standard one. So I don’t have to waste another dvd, or not use the full capacity of the dvd. Maybe there is a dvd one, but I’m already done downloading the other one.
