What a pain in the ass

Well this site doesn’t look right in IE7, not tested in IE6 yet. DS: Warranty Voided doesn’t look right in IE7 either, not tested in IE6 yet. Have to run vmware just to test sites, thanks to microsoft for not using standards. Yes I’m designing a site for somebody or an organization, won’t provide any info until its done.

Info on running IE6 and 7 on the same machine

This is very very sad, running windows in vmware, then running windows again inside the windows in vmware. Why not create two partitions on the virtual hard drive or another virtual machine? Because I’m lazy, easier to download one 400+ MB file. Not even sure if it’ll work, oh yeah and windows is pre activated with the image they provide.
Well my computer can’t handle running windows xp two times in vmware. Maybe it can if they don’t both have 512 MB of ram. I was about to do a hard reboot, but then it came back, listening to music too.
Hmm that gives me a great idea, I can do many legal/fun things with that image they provide. Never mind it’ll expire in August.

Update
Taking to long to uncompress the image, so I’m just going to copy my current windows and update to IE7. So I’ll have two, one with IE6, and one with IE7.
Damn my SATA 2 hard drive is slow, around 15 MB a second. Copying a total of 8.3 GB to a different folder. Oh yeah this site almost looks right in IE6, can’t test it until I’m done copying the files. Might as well play some true combat elite, while this is copying. True combat elite isn’t on the same hard drive, as the files I’m copying.

Time to try ie4linux. Still will have to use vmware to test in IE7. Could use the ie4linux beta, but it has some problems, I’ll wait until its stable.

If I ever start making money by creating websites, then I will donate to the ie4linux project. Its very doubtful that I will.

This site should look correct in IE 5.5+, doesn’t look exactly how it is intended in 5.0, don’t care enough to fix it.

IE7 css hacks

I’m using the html comment if IE method now, to load a special css file for IE, so it looks right. You have to put it under your first link rel tag.
