Was only 50 bucks at office depot, went to local store, 100 bucks online. Seems to work fine, still waiting for it to charge 16 hours. Finally setup my Linksys VOIP SPA2102 SIP ATA Adapter, using vitelity, they say you need to open ports, but I don’t. Behind two routers, to lazy to open ports on two routers. At first I could only make calls, then went to support thing on their site, and did their setup wizard, and it changed some settings on their server or something. Cool I can still send txt messages using Phone Plugins on mac while its connected to the cell fusion thing. That program is only 10 bucks, I already bought it, never tried the FoneLink program, my phone isn’t on the supported phones list for it, but it is for Phone Plugins… And Phone Plugins is a lot cheaper. Hmm doesn’t seem to always work while its connected to cell fusion, so have to disable bluetooth and then enable it.

Got my cirago BTA-6210 bluetooth adapter today from buy.com, bought it on their ebay store though. So far it is working way better then the internal bluetooth on my mac mini. Can use my bluetooth keyboard and mouse, and connect to my phone, without any lag now, before mouse would start lagging or get disconnected. Not sure if the 2009 mac mini is any better at bluetooth, won’t ever know, don’t plan on buying a new mac mini.

Looks like now they have no area codes available in WA. They let you change your number once for free, so I keep checking to see if a local number is available, have some 253 number, not my area code. No phone hooked up to it, nor is the computer turned on that its plugged into. Using virtualbox in ubuntu on a MSI Nettop 100, to run their bogus software. Don’t want to keep mac on 24/7, guess I could, not sure how stable the mac software is though. Not sure why I see ads on tv, since they don’t even offer area codes in my state anymore. Looks like their running out of numbers, and not adding anymore. Ahh well it was only around $30 on ebay. I should sell that linksys phone adapter I bought that I don’t need, was going to use it with vitelity, but changed my mind. Oh yeah you will be able to port a number to them “sometime in 2009″. Guess you don’t really need a local number, but then people that use the shitty local service, will get charged when calling you.

Instead of everyone switching to magic jack, how about get a skype phone adapter, both require your computer to be on 24/7, difference is skype is free. If everyone was using skype, you wouldn’t need to pay anything, its free to call skype people from skype. Then they’d probably start charging for it. Or pay more and get something that doesn’t need your computer.

Apple should really release a mac tablet before I have enough money for a macbook pro or iMac. If they release a tablet, I’ll get one of those, and then after that I’ll eventually get an iMac. Wouldn’t need a tablet and macbook pro. So maybe I’ll just wait till next year to buy new mac, or till they release a tablet, whichever comes first. Though they may never make a tablet, which would suck. But I’d line up to buy one, wait no apple store here, so can’t, I’d just buy it from their site.

Hmm not sure if I’ll get one of the 13″ MacBook Pros or a refurbished iMac. The iMac would be faster and have better video, but cost a little more then a new 13″ MacBook Pro, I’d get the $1,499 MacBook Pro, if I got one probably. By the time I can buy a new mac, they’ll probably have the cheapest 15″ MacBook Pro refurbished… So maybe I’ll get one of those instead. I like the SD card reader the new MacBook Pro’s have, then I wouldn’t have to use my card reader. They should add a SD reader to the iMac. I could get the old iMac model 3 GHz for just a little more then the new 2.93 GHz refurbished model, but want the new model with support for 8 GB of ram. I think what I’ll do is just think about it but never buy either, that way by the time I make up my mind they’ll be new models, haha. Or I might get one if my mac mini dies and can’t be fixed cheaply. Oh wait I still have my MSI Nettop 100 with ubuntu, so won’t need to purchase new mac, if current mini dies, can just use that. It can’t play games, but neither can my mini.

Will probably end up getting a MacBook Pro. Probably the cheapest 15″ MacBook refurbished though, they should have em refurbished in three or four months. I suppose if I decide to get off my lazy ass and get a job, then I might be able to get one before then.

Nice guess the Ovi store opened today but doesn’t work. Installing the app on my phone, according to their blog, people using the app on their phone can connect. I get blank page in browser. Hmm maybe the store works in firefox, maybe it isn’t compatible with Safari, that’s nice if that’s the case… Nice nokia, your store doesn’t work in safari. Real nice. Can’t use it on phone, because it can’t find my router, says “No wlan found”. Whatever. Ahh it works on phone now… After installing the store app you have to reboot. Guess phone wasn’t started all the way yet.

Some 13 year old won apple’s stupid 1 billionth download contest. 13 year olds don’t need MacBooks or any of that other stuff. Well maybe the 10,000 iTunes gift card, so there parents never have to buy em anything from iTunes store again. They should go ahead and send me that 17″ MacBook Pro, so I can sell it on ebay or keep it. Probably better to sell it though, so I can save up and buy Mac Pro.

Just bought a DSTTi card from echostore.com. Probably could of got it cheaper somewhere else or different card for cheaper, but echo store probably has faster shipping. Also payed by paypal, which is nice. Got a 2 GB microsd card from them too. Dealextreme has the DSTTi for cheaper, but slow shipping, uncle ordered an R4 from them once, took like 2 weeks or something, don’t want to wait that long.

I got a mountain bike a long time ago for free, was given to me by one of my Uncle’s, the one on my dad’s side. Went to walmart and got helmet and tire pump. Took it for a short ride, easy to go down hills, was to weak to ride it all the way up the hill. The chain fell off on the way up the hill too. If I had an electric bike I probably would of made it all the way up, not really a steep hill, it goes in a fucking circle, so if you walk your bike up, don’t bother going in the circle, unless your to weak to pick bike up. Rather carry it up some short steep hills then walk around a fucking circle. Don’t have to carry it much, just a little anyways. Oh yeah saw one of those e-zip bikes at the wlmart we went to, we didn’t go to the same one as yesterday. They had one for $399, $350 on their site, so guessing if they had the $299 one, it’d be $350 at the store. Probably won’t bother getting electric bike, one reason being is they weigh a lot, so if you have to peddle you won’t be able to go very far without getting exhausted. I have bad judgment, so I’d end up pedaling it a lot probably, and I’d need two batteries cause I’m a fat ass. The batteries are $129.99 on amazon.

Oh yeah will probably take my current bike to shop and have em fix it up, or see if they think I should just buy new one. Bicycle Butler is where I’ll take it, says on their site they can rebuild em, build you a custom bike, looks like they pretty much do everything that can be done to bike. Wonder if they can turn it into an electric bike, haha. It’d probably be cheaper, I think you can buy electric bike kits. Hmm bikes don’t really look that hard to work on, maybe I should just buy parts myself, and do it all myself, then I’ll have something to do all day, other then sitting on ass. Hmm wonder if any of those e-zip scooters can have two batteries. Think I rather have scooter and non electric bike. And those aren’t the big scooters that you need license to drive.

They only sell it online, found it on amazon, but on the right says you can order from target. To bad you can’t buy at the target store, says on page online only. Maybe I’ll go look at bikes tomorrow at local stores. Should probably look local first, doubt I’ll find a cheaper price then that.

Looks like walmart has an EZIP looks the same, has same features, for $299. And is at “limited stores”, would have to call to find out, which sucks. Wonder how much shipping would be, can’t you have em ship it to a walmart for free or something? and go pick it up? Shipping is $29.97, no option to ship to local walmart, still cheaper then everywhere else… So its $325.01 after tax. Amazon charges me tax too, so even after the shipping, if I order online, walmart is cheapest. Might be able to get it at local walmart. Hopefully I can. Walmart I went to didn’t have it, or I didn’t see it. Not sure if I’ll get one or not. Might as well think about it until it snows, and then decide not to get one, because its snowing. Hmm I should use that same thinking process before buying anything, that way I won’t ever buy anything. Same with electronics, power might go out, so no point in those, might become a bum, electronics won’t do me any good then. Yesterday I got an email saying somebody installed wordpress, and had a url to some spam username on some forum. So one post is missing, did a database restore, which put it back how it was, excluding that one post. Wordpress thinks it needs to be installed if it can’t connect to database, so guessing my host was having problems or something. Simple solution would be to delete /wp-admin/install.php?step=2. And the other most important solution, is to ban the asshole. Not that it’ll do any good, it appears as though their in India. Better off banning everybody inAsia, though I’d think my host would take care of that. What’s really funny, it appears as though their using windows.

From a comment here. So I guess Nintendo DSi only games maybe, if there are ever any. Then Nintendo will need to update support site, as it says “games”. So I guess any online games in shop channel can’t be played online, according to Nintendo. Probably aren’t very many games in shop channel yet anyways.

M3 Simply probably doesn’t work anymore, but I can use the DS Download Play service to try new games, get the Nintendo channel for Wii and it has demos for the DS, that it can send to DS systems, and DSi.

iTunes 8.1 likes to hang and takes a while to start music. I updated to it when it came out, good thing I have time machine, I restored iTunes, so now I’m running the older faster version of iTunes. All my music is stored on a NAS, mounted as a samba share, perhaps the new iTunes doesn’t like that. Apple should of said in change log, that it is slower for some users, and only recommend you update if you have new shuffle. You also need to restore iTunes Library, iTunes Library Extras.itdb and iTunes Library Genuis.itdb in users/Music/iTunes. Found that from apple’s forum. Guess the only fix is to downgrade.

Thanks to amazon they just released a free kindle app for the iPod touch/iPhone. Glad I didn’t ever buy a kindle, was thinking about it once, but never bought it. No need now, thanks to the free app amazon released for touch/iPhone users. Now I should see what books are available.

I bought a receiver at Huppins, and got some free speakers from my grandpa, but the subwoofer isn’t powered, so won’t work for me. I got a Sony STR-DG520 for $157.67 after tax, before tax it was $145. According to them, that is what they paid for it, last one on the shelf, and discontinued, they aren’t getting anymore, I like buying the stuff on the shelf, can get discount. So that was cheaper then amazon, amazon has tax for me too. Oh yeah had to buy optical cable, well actually ordered yesterday, as I knew I was getting speakers and receiver. HDMI out is only for the stuff that is plugged in by HDMI, as far as I can tell, it truly is only “pass through”, so component won’t go out of the HDMI, assume I’d have to plug component into component out, and that’d be a pain, easier solution, hook everything up to TV, and then hook optical out on TV to receiver, well I’ll keep 360 hooked up to it. So the receiver will always be on the same input, and will have to change input on TV. Glad I didn’t pay over $200 for receiver, and then have to buy subwoofer, looks like total paid will be around $200.

I bought the Sony SA-W2500 100 Watt Subwoofer, should be good enough. Not sold directly by amazon, which kind of sucks. Was thinking about the Yamaha YST-SW216BL, but everybody seems to want over $20 for shipping. Not paying over $20 for shipping.

The Sony Subwoofer should work right? Cause receiver was made by sony too, so they should hopefully play nicely together. Speakers aren’t by Sony though.

How to open the mac mini

They say you need two putty knifes, but probably possible with only one.
Don’t think we have any putty knives, my grandma might. Don’t have $48 either. The shipping is free, but after tax its $52.12. Still pretty cheap, cheaper then the memory in my other computer, and its not DDR2.
Just looked on apple’s site, if you configure the mac mini, they charge $150 if you want 2 GB of ram. I wouldn’t pay $150 for 2 GB of ram, that’s a rip off.

Got it open without a putty knife, I did do a little damage to the bottom of the case. Don’t care though. It still works, and I don’t look at the bottom either, as it isn’t upside down all the time. The damage I caused to the case, actually made it so it will be easier to open in the future. Oh yeah and it still works, as I’m typing this from my mac.
