Noctua NF-A14 iPPC-3000 PWM

If a review says that fan isn’t loud, it is, at least @ 3000 RPM. I plugged it into my case’s fan controller, which most likely just powers the fans. So it’s running at full speed.

Well, it’s the only fan I can hear now.

Let’s see if the CPU temp goes down while playing games.

Almost 78F in my living room. Think the high temp was 72C yesterday for the CPU. It was hot in living room then too, thanks printer. Printer isn’t running right now though. Maybe I should turn AC on.

Looks like the fan did the trick, good news, I don’t want three of those fans. They cost $30 a piece, and are loud. But one sensor says 68C, don’t remember what it went up to before. While playing the game, it mostly stays at 54C or less. And the GPU is cooler too. One temp on GPU got up to 91C I think yesterday. Junction max is 83C now.

Is it any good? Looks like it might be fun, should work on the Steam Deck, therefore it should work on my desktop too.

Still downloading it, 40% done.

This board for my 3D printer must really be silent, printer not as loud as before. Old board died, and you can’t really get that board. Only 4 hours or so to go on the print. Well, I probably killed the old board. Don’t recall how. Pain to replace, because they used hot glue on everything, you need a hair dryer to unplug anything.

Think I should replace the bed plate, because I applied the G10 to the other thing poorly, and now it’s warped even more. Which makes printing a pain. Printing works, but looks like it’s too close in one corner. This you don’t have to apply to another plate, so you won’t screw it up by applying it wrong. You need shitty bed clips though.

I could see if somebody can fix the bed plate I have, might need new adhesive though. High temp adhesive. It prints worse with more mesh points or whatever for UBL. Had to lower it. Then it’s too close in more spots. Or you know, print at 0.28mm. Probably need to clean nozzle or replace it. Will probably just replace it, maybe put a steel one on.

My G10 is stuck to a magnetic bed plate, so no clips needed. The reason I might not buy the above one. Rather buy the same one, and another magnetic build plate, and have somebody else put it on. Except, you might need to heat the printer up, which means they’d have to come over, and they probably wouldn’t want to. I’m not taking the printer anywhere.

This soap dish might not be warped, even though it looked too close in one corner. You can adjust the UBL mesh, to solve it too. But I’m lazy. I don’t want to change Z offset, because I was having issues of it sticking, probably wasn’t close enough. Not the same model as the warped one, this model requires one print, the other you have to print a small stand for.

Only 112.4 °F in my 3D printer enclosure, think they say this filament needs the enclosure at 45C. Almost 45C.

Can’t decide to get another 8TB drive or not. I’d have to unmount it after automatically backing other drive up, in case the HDD dock craps out, and messes up the drive. Will it mess up a drive not in use? If so, buying just a drive won’t work. Unless it’s an external drive. At least it isn’t an OWC HDD dock. That reminds me, I still need to do my offline monthly backup, I forgot to do it earlier.
