No more food stamps after next month possibly. All Social Security has to do is ask the food stamp people, to not give me food stamps anymore. No reason needed either. It’s not the regular food stamp program either. Right before a possible government shutdown.

Well, if the government shuts down, and reopens, maybe they’ll have a backlog of applications. I might do it online and fill out the paper.

The government causes the price of food to go up, and thinks they should take food stamps away. They should increase food stamps if food costs more. Dicks.

First food stamps go away, then Social Security.

Some people that voted for Trump get both, guess they don’t actually need either. Can’t think of any other reason you’d vote for republicans.

And the government shutdown is the republicans fault, they won’t negotiate. Not to mention, the health care crisis they caused by passing bullshit bills. And the bill they want to pass, has laws that should be unconstitutional, possibly are, but the Supreme Court is corrupt too. So the government deserves to be shutdown.

The next version might on the Fairphone 5, not sure what if any other phones. I forgot in the US, you needed that. You may or may not be able to even connect without it.

Sounds like if 2G is available, not sure when they said that worked, you can change it to that, and get calls.

But there’s another option, get a hotspot, and use VoIP on a Linux device, doesn’t have to be a phone.

postmarketOS has experimental VoLTE. But Ubuntu Touch & postmarketOS aren’t collaborating on bringing it to devices, not sure why. There should be a more unified development of Linux on phones, but apparently there isn’t. Somebody from postmarketOS tried contacting somebody from Ubuntu Touch, but didn’t get a response. Didn’t read all the posts, so don’t know if they ever did.

Oh and another option is to wait, and see if the iPhone 15 gets some kind of exploit, to jailbreak it. Might be too late for me, if they find a software exploit, on the latest iOS 18, I won’t update to 26 or whatever, don’t care. If it’s a hardware exploit, they can support more iOS versions easier.

I might just wait and see what happens, might not even live long enough to need a new phone of any kind. Not sure how long I’ll last with the BS the ones that control the government are doing. Might have a heart attack. Or a stroke.

And finding a good seller of old phones in the US won’t be easy. I might have found one seller that might be worth the risk, it comes degoogled, so the bootloader can be and is already unlocked. But then I remembered it’s used, and doesn’t look like it has a new battery. Probably not worth the price. Doesn’t even have 5G. Not that it’ll matter when World War 3 is happening.

The phone I wanted, the seller is also selling a used pin locked phone, sounds like a stolen phone. And some concerning back feedback. Not giving them any money. Too risky. Not to mention, they could be stolen phones, even if new, somebody in another country, could have stolen them, and sent them here to be sold. Something fishy might be going on. Most of the phones on eBay are either stolen, or not what they say it is.

If you buy one on Backmarket, you may not get an unlocked one, and the next one might not be either. Apparently they have no way of knowing what is being sent to you in advance. Even a review said they got multiple, maybe 4, all Verizon phones. Were they locked though? Well, some or maybe all Verizon phones, can’t have the bootloader unlocked, so good luck flashing Linux on it.

Some T-Mobile phones, might require you be the original buyer to unlock. You need to unlock it to unload the bootloader. If it’s made by OnePlus, you also get to flash it to the global ROM, and only Windows is supported for flashing it, can’t use a VM. So even if it’s T-Mobile and unlocked, not worth the trouble.

I won’t import a phone, not paying tariffs, which is basically giving money to assholes, so they can do more BS.

The seller might have a Xiaomi Mi A1, which works with postmarketOS. Nope, some really old Sony crap. Got them mixed up. Nope, no good sellers of that on eBay. Good luck finding any phones from Xiaomi in the US from a good seller, that work with Linux. Sounds like depending on the one, you might have to jump through hoops to unlock bootloader as well, not that one I don’t think.

LOL the seller of a OnePlus Nord N10 5G gave me an offer, maybe $5 less then list price. It’s T-Mobile unlocked, too lazy to reboot desktop with an external drive, and Windows 10 on the drive. Under $100, but no idea if it’ll get VoLTE either. Maybe it has experimental support with postmarketOS. Not sure I trust that seller anyways.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 might work with postmarketOS, I had or have some old Samhung tablet. No idea which one. Probably too slow. Only 1 GB of RAM, might work as a bare minimal softphone for VoIP. Don’t do anything else on it though.

And Microsoft if you use anything from them. Bowing down to dicktators is unacceptable.

I’ll probably try Ubuntu Touch first, they have the supported devices on their site.

I just need to find somebody to buy the phone, that wants my iPhone and Apple Watch. They aren’t giving me money, I will give them some money, they can sell the iPhone and Apple Watch for the trade in value, or keep one or both. I will give them whatever is owed after the trade in value of both. Or I could get a different cheaper phone. But it claims to be refurbished, but doesn’t say if it has a new battery. The other phone claims to be new.

Both phones are old, and I don’t give a shit. Linux should be fast enough on either of them. Linux is generally fast on lower end devices.

Now if I give them the Mac mini too, I won’t owe any money. But it’s only worth $150, so it’s basically worthless now. Linux works on it, but not sure what all works. I might put Linux on it someday, it’s turned off for now. Too lazy to make a VLAN for it, and block it from the internet.

And the Apple TV I will stop using eventually too, I can use my Atari VCS with Linux on it.

I could care less about having many apps, or Linux being far along on phones. The browser should work, so who cares. If I need to do something, I can probably rig up my own solution if there isn’t one.

If I had the money for the phone, and enough money left over, I could just smash the iPhone instead.

Oh and there’s some flaws with Tor, found an alternative, but not as many people use it. If the directory or whatever, I think with the servers gets compromised, it can cause issues. Though Trump only seems to like incompetent people around him, or I should say his bosses, since he’s a puppet. So I’m not sure they’ll have any luck hacking anything. They would probably force I think EFF who makes Tor, to hand it over or something. Probably they will try to get rid of the EFF.

Lots of people are canceling Disney+, they deserve it. Bowing down to dicktators. I’d cancel it, but it’s included in my DirecTV streaming service, and I use TV Everywhere to record some shows, then record the shows I can’t on DirecTV. Not all the channels support TV Everywhere.

But eventually I’ll probably lose Social Security, so I’ll use Mythtv, and record OTA only. If there’s anything to watch that is. Ahh won’t need a cell plan when that happens, WiFi only. No more scam texts and calls. That’s assuming nothing gets better.

LibreWolf is a good browser for Linux and other OSes. Just don’t change the window size, I think the Tor Browser claims that makes it easier to fingerprint you.

I don’t give a shit about HomeKit anymore either. There’s other ways to view your cameras remotely anyways.

I don’t think there’s a real jailbreak for the iPhone 15, so that isn’t an option, best to get rid of it. Some people may be working on getting Linux on older iPhones, but not much works currently, maybe they gave up. Not smart enough to find exploits on it, to jailbreak it myself. If I was smart enough to make an AI, I’d make an AI to do it. I’d look for hardware exploits, so they can’t patch it. Also, make the AI reverse engineer the hardware, so Linux can run on it.

The original Switch can be hacked, and I leave mine offline. Not sure the Xbox Series S can play games if you are offline, even offline games. So it’s pretty pointless to keep. The PS5 might let you.

I turned my Mac mini off, too lazy to disable the security thing so I can disable the spyware. The spyware is already there, they just need to activate it. I’ll eventually wipe the Mac mini, either get rid of it, or just let it sit unused. Maybe destroy it, since it’s just a hunk of spyware. Putting Linux on it isn’t the best option, I doubt everything works in Linux on it.

Maybe I’ll buy a Linux phone soon. Well, an old Android phone, that can run Linux. The camera might not work on the one I’d get, but I don’t care. It works in Android, or should, but not in Linux. It’s faster then most Linux phones, the one that might be better, I think is a pre order, and you have to import it I think, so tariffs.

I don’t want my phone or any device’s resources wasted on AI to spy on me.

The only problem is, good luck getting everybody I talk/text to get a Linux phone, and to not use the cell towers for calling or texting. Use an app that encrypts it.

Oh and eventually, you probably won’t be able to use the internet without the spyware, or without pretending the spyware is on it. It’ll be a cat and mouse game. If they can find you, you’ll be arrested and/or killed. Maybe you can make what’s displayed encrypted to all other processes on the device. So they get a bogus screenshot.

One state wants to ban VPNs, so I guess no more working from home in that state. Better hope, where you work, there’s a server, not in a remote location. What the red states are doing, will be done in all states, if Trump succeeds.

Don’t use Tailscale, if it’s a US company, it’s no longer safe to use. Too lazy to look who makes it. So I got rid of it. Just using WireGuard, but local only, not opening ports. Too paranoid.

If a country, wants privacy for their citizens, they’d need to make their own hardware, and use open source software. No manufacturing the hardware elsewhere either. In the future, if Trump succeeds, and humans last long enough on this planet, new hardware will have spyware built in. You’ll have to know how to hack the hardware to do anything about it. So future hardware/devices will be useless.

Then again, there might be no new hardware or devices, since they want to murder a ton of people. If they murder all the people that know how to make stuff, well good luck getting any new tech.

Well, now you know what the problem with having tech in a primitive species is. Instead of using it for good, they do the opposite.

Aliens or whatever you want to call them, probably won’t stop humans from wiping themselves out. They might protect us from bad beings we know nothing about. But ourselves, would be interfering with our free will. But then again, some people believe we are alone in a massive universe, with multiple dimensions. It’s a bunch of emptiness. That makes no sense, why would the universe need to be massive for only humans?

If I keep getting money long enough, and live long enough, no more Apple Watch for me, I probably won’t get a different watch either. And I probably won’t run Android apps on the phone I put Linux on, you can if you know how. Well, maybe apps that aren’t in the app store, that don’t have spyware.

Another option, is to port my number to a VoIP provider, and use a soft phone on one of my computers.

Maybe I won’t follow the instructions that get the GPS working, that can be used to spy on you. But so can cell towers.

I wouldn’t use any Apple devices just on WiFi either. If the spyware gets turned on, it’ll just make it slow. Even if you make it so it can only access white listed IPs. You can do that on your router or hardware firewall, pfSense is nice. Make sure you don’t allow any Google, Apple, Amazon, Meta, Oracle, Microsoft and a lot of other IPs.

Hmm, maybe I should block all those IPs now, and see how much internet I can’t access. Some people get servers from Google and Amazon, and Microsoft. Or maybe I should run an anti Google site on a Google server. See how long it lasts, and till I get a knock on my door.
